  • Real-time (5-10 seconds): For actively monitored systems
  • Standard (1-5 minutes): For general monitoring
  • Manual: For historical analysis that does not need live updates
8

Save your view

Click “Save” to store your custom dashboard configuration.
Your custom view is now available in the view selector dropdown.

Widget arrangement best practices

Thoughtful layout improves dashboard usability and reduces cognitive load.

F-pattern layout

Arrange widgets following natural eye movement:
  1. Place most critical information at the top-left
  2. Progressively less important information toward bottom-right
  3. Align related widgets horizontally or vertically

Grouping strategies

  • Functional grouping: Group widgets by business function (sales, operations, support)
  • Temporal grouping: Organize by time sensitivity (real-time, daily, weekly)
  • Hierarchical grouping: Summary metrics at top, detailed breakdowns below

Sharing custom views

You can share your custom views with team members:
  1. Open the view you want to share
  2. Click “Share” or the share icon
  3. Choose sharing permissions:
    • View only: Others can see but not modify
    • Collaborate: Others can make changes
    • Template: Others can duplicate and customize
  4. Select users or teams to share with

Managing multiple views

When you have numerous custom views, use descriptive naming and consider creating views for:
  • Different times of day (morning overview, end-of-day summary)
  • Different contexts (desktop, mobile, presentation mode)
  • Different audiences (personal, team, executive)
Instead of building from scratch, duplicate an existing view and modify it:
  1. Open the view you want to copy
  2. Click “Duplicate” from the view menu
  3. Rename and customize the copy
